Many people are frightened about the opioid crisis they hear in the news every day. The potential legalization of “marijuana” nationwide has parents, law enforcement and alcohol/drug awareness industry very concerned. The legalization of “marijuana” doesn’t address health concerns and risk. As a parent how do I have the conversation with my son or daughter? Most parents are unaware of the “drug of the day” the language and how to approach their son/daughter with current and relevant information. The Courts, Youth advocates and Awareness organization are in need of current research, the right approach and framework that can connect to people in an impactful way. Troy Taylor: Bio
Troy Taylor has over seven years of teaching, facilitating, and speaking experience in the alcohol & drug awareness/prevention field. He has served over 2000 people by teaching, facilitating, speaking or coaching in the field. He also is a Contract Master Training and Contract Researcher for Prime Research Institute. A highly skilled communicator and certified Executive Coach where he provides professional coaching, training, and development for Taylormade Solutions Services. Troy holds various professional coaching certifications including Certified Professional Coach (CPC), Energy Leader Master Practitioner (ELI-MP), a member of International Coach Federation (ICF), and the Institute for Professional Excellence Coaching (iPEC). Troy works double duty as a Lead Program Manager for Year Up, Inc., where he is the Lead Program Manager, leading and coaching a team of 4 program managers and 210 (18yrs – 24yrs) students spanning across 5 learning communities, and approximately 10 professional skills coaches, with the ultimate mission of providing high quality service to the students in the community as they prepare for corporate internships and careers. Troy holds a BA degree from the University of Georgia in Psychology, and an MBA degree from Everest University in Human Resources. He is a native of Brooklyn, NY, but has currently lives in Atlanta with his wife, two children and a puppy.
